At 2:46 this morning, I was awakened by a bat flying around the bedroom. Actually, I had seen it earlier in the evening. At 11:15, it was downstairs while I was watching TV. I opened the front door, and ran upstairs to close the doors up there. When I got back down, I couldn't find it. I hoped (thought) it was gone. Went to bed.
Then, at 2:46, it was back.
I finally whacked it with a broom, and trapped it under a waste basket. I slid some cardboard under the waste basket, and took it outside.
Ingham County Health Dept. sent Animal Control out to pick it up and test it for rabies. We'll know in a couple of days. I'm really not concerned.
Maybe a little.
Update: No rabies. Whew.
