and this was one of them.
I had a (very) short phone conversation with Sarah this morning. I called her at 7:30am our time (3:30pm her time) just to say "hello" and make sure she was doing o.k. When I asked where she was, she said that she had just climbed a mountain, and was on the way down. She was with friends, and I could tell it wasn't a great time to talk. That's fine. I just needed to hear her voice.
Another thing...
I'm guessing it's was a teenager thing, but for years, whenever I have said "I love you" to her, she has always replied with "me too". Not a big thing, but...the past couple of times when I've talked to her in Oman, she says "I love you". I don't know if that's because she is so far away, or because she's getting older, or what. But, I like it.
