Because I haven't posted in a while...
I came back from TC on Thursday.
Went to work on Friday. It was verrrrry quiet. By the end of the day, it was only me and Bill R. on the 5th floor.
Saturday I watched (on TV) the Spartans beat Montana State 44-3, and I cleaned up the basement a little.
Sunday I mowed the lawn. BUT, more exciting was that we got an e-mail from Sarah. She is doing well in Oman.
Today...finished my Camel Club book. Started a new Lincoln book.
As I was sitting in the living room, reading...breeze blowing through an open window...I started to get drowsy and closed my eyes. I was taken back to when I was probably 9 or 10 years old, and at my Grandma's house in Yale. She had a small house that had a screened-in porch on the front. On the porch was a metal cot with a thin mattress that my Uncle Mike would sleep on when he stayed there. Anyway, I remember being there in the summer and lying on the cot with the breeze blowing. I remember mourning doves cooing a lot. It was an amazing and peaceful time, and obviously a strong memory. One of the best memories from when I was a kid. Long time ago.
